Privacy policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026. This is a translation; the Dutch version is legally binding.

Who is responsible

Flot BV, Poortweg 1, 4613 BW Bergen op Zoom, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce no. 95793895, phone +31 164 770 865. Questions about privacy can be sent to projects@dutchwatertech.nl.

What data we process

  • Through the contact form: name, organisation, email address, phone number, the town or location of the sheet piling and your message. Only name, email address and message are required; without them we cannot answer your question.
  • When you email or call us: the information you share.
  • On every visit: technical data needed to show and protect the website, such as your IP address, browser and the requested page.
  • When you send the form: a check that you are human (Cloudflare Turnstile), which uses technical data from your browser and your IP address.
  • Visitor statistics: which pages are visited, without cookies and without storing your IP address. See Cookies.

What we use it for

  • To answer your question and, if you ask, make a quotation. Legal basis: your consent on the form and taking steps towards a contract (Article 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
  • To carry out and invoice an assignment. Legal basis: the contract and the legal retention obligation (Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).
  • To show and protect the website and stop spam. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a safe, available website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To keep visitor statistics and improve the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest. The figures cannot be traced back to you.

We do not use your data for advertising, do not build profiles and make no decisions taken by a computer alone.

How long we keep it

  • Messages sent through the contact form: 24 months, after which they are deleted automatically. We do not keep emails about your question any longer.
  • If your question leads to an assignment, we keep customer data for 7 years after the last transaction, as Dutch tax law requires.
  • Technical data from a visit is kept only briefly by our hosting provider, to deliver the website and block attacks.
  • Visitor statistics contain no personal data. See Cookies.

Who we share it with

We do not sell data or share it with advertisers. These parties process data on our behalf, under a data processing agreement:

  • Cloudflare: hosting and security of the website, the spam check on the form (Turnstile), storing form messages and forwarding them by email.
  • Our email provider: where form messages and your emails arrive.

Otherwise we only pass on data when the law requires it.

Transfers outside the European Union

Cloudflare is a US company, so data may also be processed outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and has also signed the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. This ensures an adequate level of protection.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies: no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies and no cookies for statistics. That is why we do not ask for cookie consent.

For the visitor statistics the website counts, per visit: the page, the website you came from, the country, the type of device, the browser and operating system, and which links and buttons are clicked (not what you type in a form). Your IP address is not stored. To count visitors per day we create a code that changes every day; its key is deleted after one day. This means nobody can find out who you are, not even across several days. The statistics run on our own service and are not shared with anyone.

The fonts are loaded from this website itself, not from Google. Cloudflare's spam check on the form only serves to prevent abuse.

Links to other websites

This website links to, among others, Google Maps, YouTube, news sites, Dutch Water Tech and MH Poly. If you click such a link, you leave this website. Those websites have their own privacy and cookie policies, for which we are not responsible.

Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The form checks the input, blocks bots and limits the number of messages per day. Only people who need it for their work can see the messages; they log in with a code sent by email.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing and receive it in a common file format. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest and withdraw consent at any time. Send your request to projects@dutchwatertech.nl. We reply within one month. To make sure the request comes from you, we may ask you to confirm it; a copy of your ID is not needed.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, please tell us. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

We update this statement when the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows the last update.
